Before you install

System

Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit.

Admin rights

Not needed for the app. The optional equalizer uses Equalizer APO, a free separate install.

Updates

Click the version line in the bottom left corner of the app to check for a new version.

“Windows protected your PC”

The beta is not code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen shows a blue warning the first time. Choose More info, then Run anyway. The warning fades as more people install the same file, and signed builds follow before Plus launches.

The installer comes straight from Velura’s public release page on GitHub, the same place the in-app updater checks.

Uninstalling

Before you remove Velura, use Restore in each area you changed, so Windows goes back to its own cursors, sounds and wallpaper. Then uninstall it from Windows Settings like any other app.
